Bergen Community College awards credit for World Languages through Bergen Community College World Language proficiency tests, the New York University Proficiency Testing in Foreign Languages Program , and the College Level Examination Program. Credit-by-Examination Bergen Community College students may earn college credit for learning achieved outside formal college courses through the COLLEGE LEVEL EXAMINATION PROGRAM (CLEP).   N.Y.U. Proficiency Testing Students taking the N.Y.U. Proficiency Testing in either his/her own native language or another language can earn three credits at Bergen Community College for passing the entire 16 point exam AP (Advanced Placement) Students who took AP Spanish, French, or German, took the AP test and score a 4 or above will receive college level credit. Bring your test scores to the Registrar's office for evaluation.
