| The New Jersey Writing Alliance (NJWA) provides opportunities for interested constituencies to improve student writing in our state by building bridges between secondary and college educators through networking, professional exchange, and advocacy. It focuses on the practical, pedagogical, and institutional issues that face us as we help students make the transition from writing in high school to writing in college. |
The 10th NJWA conference took place on Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at Rutgers University. It focused on how students can develop new voices to meet the demands of crossing the borders of institutions, levels, disciplines, and culture/language. Themes included Technology, Pedagogy, and Voice; Writing Across the Gulf: High School/College Articulation; Motivating Students/Strengthening Writing: Doing What We Do Even Better; and Developing Voice: The “We-Me” Connection. Online materials from the conference presenters are now being posted online! |
